Trying to build xerces-c 2.7.0 for AIX 5.2 using xlC 6.0 but no luck

Has anyone successfully built xerces c++ v 2.7.0 for AIX 5.2 using Visual Age compiler 6.0?

I get the following error when the gmake process reaches the file"XMLDateTime.cpp"
The name lookup for "__div" did not find a declaration.

I see a similar error in the archives for an older version of xerces, AIX, and xlC, but I saw no resolution posted.
Any ideas to fix this would be appreciated.
