jvanzyl     00/08/29 23:01:50

  Added:       .        TODO
  Log:
  - TODO, no particular order and it's my ramblings, but thought they
    should go somewhere visible. Make those deficiencies known!

  Revision  Changes    Path
  1.1                  jakarta-velocity/TODO

  Index: TODO
  ===================================================================
  => #set $x = 10
  => #set $x = 42L

  => turn off parsing inside #include blocks
     still not sure I want to do that given that
     all text is left alone including javascript.

  => interpolate $variables inside string literals:
     #include "$path/file.inc"
     #parse "$path/file.wm"

  => Collapse space taken up by comments. Most
     of the directives are done.

  => Accept argument list to methods.
  => Methods should accept
     <VARIABLE> | <PROPERTY> | <METHOD> | <STRING_LITERAL> | <NUMBER>
     either add this to the grammar, or make a parser in
     the visitor. Hmmm. I think I will stick to the
     simpler method WM uses.

  => Try to get leon's code generating tool to
     work with this instead of WM.

  => How to handle changes in context caused
     by nest blocks. I basically need a stack
     of contexts. Push new context when entering
     a block and pop it when leaving. Each new
     context must consist of all entries in the
     previous context so the Map interface will
     work well here. Populate the context with all
     previous contexts then push in new values. This
     will provide some scope i.e. new values with the
     same identifier in a previous context will be
     overridden, it will effectively be a local
     variable.
