[dev] [jira] [Created] (LIBCLOUD-265) In local storage, remove empty parent folders on object delete

Mahendra M created LIBCLOUD-265:
-----------------------------------

Summary: In local storage, remove empty parent folders on object delete
                 Key: LIBCLOUD-265
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LIBCLOUD-265
             Project: Libcloud
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Storage
            Reporter: Mahendra M
            Priority: Trivial

In the local storage, when an object is deleted, all it's parent directories are not deleted (specially when the object has a deep folder hierarchy). Only it's immediate parent is deleted. This can leave a lot of empty folder lying around in the file-system.
