[jira] Created: (SOLR-110) Factor out common code in our SolrRequestHandler classes

Factor out common code in our SolrRequestHandler classes
--------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: SOLR-110
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-110
             Project: Solr
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: search
            Reporter: Bertrand Delacretaz

DisMaxRequestHandler and StandardRequestHandler are similar enough to warrant a common base class, or helper classes to factor out common code.

I don't have the time (or courage ;-) to do that right now, but it should be done to save time when implementing features that impact both classes.
