any upcoming axis c++ releases

I have worked with 1.0 for some time but needed to upgrade due to some 
interoperability problems I am having.
I recently extracted from cvs head but am having numerous problems even 
getting a basic 'calculator' web service to work.
2 questions:
- should code from cvs head be expected to work or are there interim 
builds that are better than others?
- is there a rough target for when we might expect an axis C++ 1.1 
release?
