Tuscany with Flex client

Hi All,

We are experimenting with Tuscany (1.4) for quite some time. We are able to
develop some prototypes too, by following

the specs and other materials available in the net. We are using spring
(2.5) to create composites/components.

Currently our prototypes are working fine (as of now we are using sca/ws
bindings only). Now we want to add a BPEL layer

to manage the process flow, ie the interaction between the composites will
be managed by BPEL, and this is the ultimate goal

we want to achieve.

1) Our aim is to achieve multi tenancy at code level by managing the
business process with BPEL

(ours is a product company by the way). Is it possible with Tuscany?

2) We haven’t seen much documentation/samples/articles on the support
for BPEL composite for a web application,

is this possible? Is there any sample available for the same?

3) Another hardship we are facing with our prototype is its integration
with flex client. How we can

invoke a Tuscany service through the FDS component from a flex client? Is
there any sample available or is

there any plan to include binding for flex in near future?

Please guide us to resolve these issues/doubts.

Best regards,Rosbin

Similar discussion in the legal-discuss, let's keep an eye in [1]

Hasn't that changed now? There are various pieces in Flex so its not
completely obvious but i think the bits we'd need to do this are now
open source and use MPL which is ok as a binary dependency for an
Apache project. See:

Hi,

You are not the only one that looks for Tuscany integration with Flex. See http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/tuscany-user/200901.mbox/%3C0B57D17684D14A418E03E2FC2CC49CFE8D8D970F23@MALMAIL.corp.sct.com%3E.

There is another article about the Flex/Java integration: http://www.infoq.com/articles/java-flex-blazeds.

Technically, I think it's a good idea and not very difficult to get Tuscany working with Flex. The main issue is that Adobe releases the stuff under LGPL which is not compatible with Apache License.

Thanks,
Raymond
