Customized Customize JSP - Addendum
Hi all,
I believe that I am close to getting a customized customize jsp portlet to
work. In my xreg for my portlet I have the following three lines:
<parameter name="template" value="myPortlet.jsp" hidden="true" />
<parameter name="customizeTemplate" value="myCustomize.jsp" />
<parameter name="provides.customization" value="true" />
I also have overridden the buildConfigureContext(Portlet portlet,
org.apache.turbine.util.RunData rundata) method in my action class.
I can tell that this method is being called when I click on the customize
icon which is great. The problem is that I don't see the myCustomize.jsp
portlet appear. Instead when I click on the customize icon all I see is the
myPortlet.jsp portlet in a maximized fashion, which is obviously not the
right thing to have happen.
So, my questions are:
1) I assume the previous issue I detailed is a bug where it might work for
velocity and not for a jsp?
2) I noticed that there are two buildConfigureContext methods. One with
buildConfigureContext(Portlet portlet, org.apache.velocity.context.Context
context, org.apache.turbine.util.RunData rundata)
as a footprint and another with a footprint of
buildConfigureContext(Portlet portlet, org.apache.turbine.util.RunData
rundata)
which was kept for backwards compatibility. Are we going to get a
buildConfigureContext(Portlet portlet, org.apache.*jsp*.context.Context
context, org.apache.turbine.util.RunData rundata) ?
3) Has anyone successfully overrode a customize page with a jsp ? If so,
please post what you did!
If anyone can help me out I can formalize the process like I did with the
JBoss/Tomcat instructions and post it to the email list.
Thanks for all the work everyone puts into making Jetspeed!!!
Andy
