what was the problem with having a separate commits@ mailing list?
as far as i am concerned i would prefer to have the dev discussions
separate from commit messages as the triage is easier.

there still seems to be a problem. i keep getting

Nothing much, we just need to file an extra INFRA request to make that happen.
