SQLite connection fails after upgrading to HOP v2.12.0

Hi

After upgrading to Hop v2.12 from v2.8 and installing Java v17, my SQLite database connection fails with the following error:

No suitable driver found

My SQLLite version is 3.45.3

How do I resolve this issue?

Thanks

Rob

Hi Rob,

It’s an error on our side that the driver is no longer included. Must have
happened when we moved them from the plugin level to lib/jdbc.

I have a personal preference for Postgres but it all depends on your
project needs and infrastructure.

Kr,
Hans

Thanks Hans

I'm using SQLite with the Hop Workflow Log.

What is a good alternative database for workflow logging in Hop?

Hi Rob,

We are probably no longer including the driver. I’ll see if I can get that fixed for the next release.

You can copy the driver from the /plugins/databases/sqlite/lib folder of the old installation to /lib/jdbc in the new installation

The database connection window will tell you if it can find the driver.

Hope this helps,
Hans
