[jira] [Updated] (HADOOP-9711) Write contract tests for S3Native; fix places where it breaks

Steve Loughran updated HADOOP-9711:
-----------------------------------

    Attachment: HADOOP-9711-004.patch

This is the fraction of the '9361-004 patch to S3N to make its exception codes consistent with HDFS.

It still behaves differently, because it can't distinguish files from empty directories, though maybe at the least we could stop files being created above non-empty dirs.

A seek to 0 in a 0 byte file fails

> implement the abstract contract tests for S3, identify where it is failing to meet expectations and, where possible, fix. Blobstores tend to treat 0 byte files as directories, so tests overwriting files with dirs and vice versa may fail and have to be skipped
