[jira] [Commented] (MESOS-1390) Add an authenticated '/shutdown' endpoint for shutting down a running framework

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MESOS-1390?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14003602#comment-14003602 ]

Ross Allen commented on MESOS-1390:
-----------------------------------

Could this be a bit more RESTful by using the DELETE verb and the same URL as the framework rather than a new "/shutdown" endpoint?

    DELETE /frameworks/2014-04-10-23:46:56-2744676618-5050-1066-0000

> In certain circumstances it's necessary to shutdown all of a framework's running tasks. For example, a framework might have connected with a very long failover timeout but an operator doesn't want the framework to keep running (and it still has running tasks).
