[jira] [Created] (TAJO-398) Documenting migration guide from Hive
to Tajo
Keuntae Park created TAJO-398:
---------------------------------
Summary: Documenting migration guide from Hive to Tajo
Key: TAJO-398
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TAJO-398
Project: Tajo
Issue Type: Task
Reporter: Keuntae Park
Assignee: Keuntae Park
Priority: Minor
As Tajo supports ANSI SQL, every user can use Tajo through the way defined in standard.
However, for non-SQL parts, we need to provide information how Tajo is different from other SQL-on-Hadoop solutions.
This issue mainly focuses on Hive users who want to migrate to Tajo.
Document may include followings:
- how to specify the format of a table
- how to specify the compression spec of the table
- for non-standard functions, mapping table between those of Hive and Tajo
