[jira] [Commented] (LEGAL-110) utf8proc library, Unicode license
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-110?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13152257#comment-13152257 ]
Robert Burrell Donkin commented on LEGAL-110:
---------------------------------------------
The MIT/X11-License is category-A
The website is canonical and this hasn't been updated to include http://www.unicode.org/copyright.html yet, but I expect that to happen in the next couple of days.

> The Apache Lucy podling is considering bundling the utf8proc Unicode
> processing library:
> The Public Software Group generally releases under X11/MIT licensing (see
> <http://www.public-software-group.org/licenses>), but utf8proc also includes
> generated files under a license from the Unicode consortium -- see Exhibit 1 at
> this link:
> The Unicode consortium's license was discussed in LEGAL-108, but that issue
> was resolved without adding it to <http://www.apache.org/legal/resolved.html>.
> Is it acceptable for an ASF product to include utf8proc as a bundled
> dependency?
