Yeah. Worked fine when I uploaded the file last night. Just hours later
I began receiving spam with "Make " inserted in front of the $nnnn

I updated the rule this morning, did a --lint, missed the error, and
uploaded the file.

Fixed.

I hope.

Version 3 final hasn't been released yet, so you may want to wait until
it is. The latest version I can see is 3.0.0-pre4
If you insist on going ahead then the solution is in the error message.
You are missing perl modules which you can easily install using CPAN
The documentation on the Spam assassin site covers this in depth

Most of the strange dependencies are in the -tools subpackage. Most people
won't need that subpackage, so put that aside until you know you need it.
Run "rpm -qlpv" on it to see what's inside.

I don't know where you got those -- 3.0 isn't released yet, so ...

NoMailAudit doesn't exist anymore. Bugzilla ticket 3533 fixed the
dependency issue (old scripts left in the masses/tools area) between
pre1 and pre2.

SpamAssassin 3.0

Posted by david <da...@suarapembaruan.co.id>.
Dear all,
I want to upgrade my spamsassassin 2.63 to spamsassassin 3.0, but i found
problem with dependencies:

I Already download all spamassassin 3.0 files :
--> perl-Mail-SpamAssassin-3.0.0-1.i386.rpm
--> spamassassin-tools-3.0.0-1.i386.rpm
--> spamassassin-3.0.0-1.i386.rpm

And when i install spamassassin-tools-3.0.0-1.i386.rpm i get dependencies
problem :
--> perl(Mail::SpamAssassin::NoMailAudit)
--> perl(Parser::Syslog)

Iam using Redhat 9 (kernel 2.4.20-8)

Can anybody help me.......

Note :
Before i install spamassassin 3.0 i remove all old spamassassin 2.63
#rpm -e perl-mail-spamassassin-2.6....
#rpm -e spamassassin-2.6.......
#rpm -e spamassassin-tools-2.6....
