Nightly build

Hi,

Is it just my thinking, or having viewed why the cassandra module, and why
it doesn't seem to get built, I'm assuming that its due to it being before
the core module in the SVN area therefore maven attempts to built it before
the core module? I need to be honest, I'm more Ant/Ivy literate therefore
please comment if this is not the case.

HBase module still seems to be hanging but please see below for other
difficulties we are experiencing

I've not narrowed this down to where and when, but I think we know the
rough area where the problem lies.

Referring to the Jenkins build. It Gora trunk builds locally for me using
Ant/Ivy, I'm going to get maven and try it out, but I won't be able to do
this until Friday. Do we have an explanation between us for reasoning behind
the Jenkins failing build? Apart from the tests!

Hi Lewis,

Have you tried to build locally or you are referring to the Jenkins build? I
am asking because the build is successful for me locally.

Hi Ioannis,

I thought an update would be of use. Further to your commit, Maven CI builds
are better but they are still not producing a clean build. I 'think' we need
to upgrade the POM (I cannot confirm the nature of change as I have not
looked into this) as per Chris' issue. Once we are able to integrate these
changes into the code base it would be great to work on the broken tests (if
there are still some) to get a stable 0.2 trunk.

Thanks

Hi Ioannis,

I'll try building the trunk again in Jenkins and see where we are. I assume
the svn area should have been updated from €your last commit (yesterday?) so
this should be OK. Once this done, I'll update the gora tickets I filed
accoredingly.

Thanks for the heads up.

I think that the following reasons prenented the module being build:
a) The module element in the root pom.xml for cassandra was commented out.
b) The cassandra version was out of date.
c) The war a missing dependeny (hector).

I committed the changes and now I think that it is ok.

No worries. I am more a maven literate, so we can work together and fix
these issues.

As the error implied it couldn't get a connection to the zookeeper server.

conf/hbase the configured port seems to be 21810.
I committed these change too. The build now doesn't hang (in my laptop) and
there are only 4 test failures. We can work more on that.
