   @kbendick @openinx If we are not inclining toward using rocksdb, can we trigger checkpoints on the basis of number of events as we have in the s3 kafka sink connector [flush.size](https://docs.confluent.io/kafka-connect-s3-sink/current/configuration_options.html#:~:text=Importance%3A%20high-,flush.size,-Number%20of%20records)
   
   I am not so sure if something like this can be done in flink
