Why can't I see JSESSIONID cookie in the WebResponse?

In the endXXX (WebResponse theResponse) method, 
theResponse.getCookies() does not return me any cookies.

I was expecting to be able to see the JSESSIONID cookie there.
Does any one know why I don't see that cookie?
