[jira] [Created] (AMQ-5936) No option to throttle a producer which
sends messages in a batch
James Selvakumar created AMQ-5936:
-------------------------------------
Summary: No option to throttle a producer which sends messages in a batch
Key: AMQ-5936
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMQ-5936
Project: ActiveMQ
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 5.10.0
Reporter: James Selvakumar
I couldn't find any option to throttle a producer which sends messages in batches (using JMS transaction with a batch size > 1) to a queue using TCP (openwire?) protocol.
As a result, the queue is flooded with messages. The producer however, is stopped when the *storeUsage* limit is reached.
P.S
* I raised this issue in the [Mailing List|http://activemq.2283324.n4.nabble.com/What-is-the-correct-way-to-throttle-ActiveMQ-producers-who-send-persistent-messages-in-batches-to-a--tp4701204.html] but didn't get any convincing answer which prompted me to file this issue.
