Do you mean this ?

{
  @PersistenceContext(unitName="customers")
  private EntityManager em;

  @Produces
  @Dependent
  public EntityManager createEntityManager()
  {
    return em;
  }
}

Cause if this is what you mean, than it doesn't change anything, the same exception is raised:
