RE: Is it OK to add from Date and thru Date to FixedAssetIdent entity

Re-using the internal id is really bad practice, because you will be
deleting the old data and will therefore loose your history. When the
auditor comes and asks for details of your end of life assets you will be in
trouble.

As a general principle for business, data should never be deleted, but
should be superseded. Even a cursory glance will show that ofbiz follows
that principle.

Sometimes we have to guide our client/customer back to the true path.

Hope that helps.

Kind regards,

Andrew Ballantine.

Is it ok to add fromDate and thruDate to FixedAssetIdent entity? I know it
may sound weird but our users like to reuse their internal Id for a
fixedAsset after a fixedAsset has reached endOfLife.
