Dongjoon Hyun updated SPARK-28640:
----------------------------------
    Affects Version/s: (was: 3.0.0)
                       3.1.0

> Only give warning when session catalog is not defined
> -----------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: SPARK-28640
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-28640
> Project: Spark
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: SQL
> Affects Versions: 3.1.0
> Reporter: John Zhuge
> Priority: Minor
>
> LookupCatalog.sessionCatalog logs an error message and the exception stack upon any nonfatal exception. When session catalog is not defined, this may alarm the user unnecessarily. It should be enough to give a warning and return None.
