[Bug 122243] New: database field 'Record number' has no output in printing form letter (=mail merge)

https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=122243

            Bug ID: 122243
        Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: database field 'Record number' has no output in
                    printing form letter (=mail merge)
    Classification: Application
           Product: Base
           Version: AOO 3.4.1
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Windows, all
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: code
          Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
          Reporter: rb.henschel@t-online.de
                CC: issues@openoffice.apache.org

Created attachment 80645

zip-Container with database and text document

I have a text document, which contains database fields. One of them is 'Record
number'. When I print it, AOO ask whether I want to print a form letter. Answer
yes. In the dialog choose to print all records to file in one single document.
Open this document. Notice that the 'Record number' field is empty.

That has worked in OOo2.4.3 and is already broken in OOo3.4.1 and still broken
in AOO400m1(Build:9700) - Rev. 1478648

I checked your text document, field is displaying as "Recordnummer". I think
this might be the reason Record Number field is empty.

--- Comment #2 from Regina Henschel <rb...@t-online.de> ---
When you enable 'Field Names' in menu 'View', you can see, that the field name
is correct. "Recordnummer" is only text to indicate, where the field content
should be seen.
When you test it, you have to reload the database with Edit > Exchange
Database. Use OOo2.4.3 to see how it should work.

In the tests done for bug 124597 the value was not empty but "1"
