[jira] [Commented] (YARN-4494) Recover completed apps asynchronously

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YARN-4494?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15287681#comment-15287681 ]

Karthik Kambatla commented on YARN-4494:
----------------------------------------

[~sunilg] - can you elaborate on the on-demand fast recovery? Are you suggesting we recover apps lazily when there is a request for them? If yes, do we recover everything when someone requests all apps? How about apps that match a specific category?

I don't remember if I filed a JIRA, but would it help to simplify the recovery of completed applications to the extent possible so this is not an issue?
