[Website] index.html and project/index.html
Hello devs,
I would like to change the index.html [1] of our site because it is
nearly the same like [2].
Suggestion for [1]:
"Apache Lenya is an effort undergoing incubation at the Apache Software
Foundation, sponsored by the ASF's Cocoon project. Incubation is
required of all newly accepted projects until a further review indicates
that the infrastructure, communications, and decision making process
have stabilized in a manner consistent with other successful ASF
projects. While incubation status is not necessarily a reflection of the
completeness or stability of the code, it does indicate that the project
has yet to be fully endorsed by the ASF.
Lenya was originally started by Michael Wechner in early 1999 to manage
the content of the journal of pattern formation. Michael previously did
basic research in physics by writing computer simulations on dendritic
growth.
In early 2000 Michael co-founded Wyona, which continued to develop Lenya
on the basis of the interactive newspaper edition of Neue Zürcher
Zeitung. The name Lenya is a combination of the names of his two sons
Levi and Vanya.

Suggestion for [2]:
"Apache Lenya is a Java-based Open-Source Content Management System. It
is based on open standards such as XML and XSLT. One of its core
components is Cocoon from the Apache Software Foundation.
Lenya supports inline WYSIWYG editors. Your site editors do not have to
learn XML. This is possible thanks to the support of XML, XSLT and XML
Schema on the client side. An adminstration interface allows advanced
users to monitor the CMS, and perform configuration tasks.
You are very welcome to participate in the Lenya project. Thank you very
much for your suggestions and contributions.

Nupp, everything is done so far on my local dis!
...that is why I am waiting so desperate for the release ;-).
I want to check that in afterwards in src/documentation.

Cast your vote on the uploaded test 1.2 release, update the incubator

I think it would be the nicest solution! I cannot see anything against

...and I thought that it was by purpose!
I spend several hours to have it back again (no highlighting) ;-). LOL.
-> No joke! Why that changed I dunno either but it is out there for
quite a while now (even before I did the update).
So if we want to avoid it that no tab is highlighted that can be easily
done by moving the content of the project dir to toplevel and rm that
dir! ...or define the tab="project" within <site>. ...or...
+1 on that!

It's very strange that these are different pages now ...
I once spent several hours to make the project tab the homepage,
no idea why this has changed. It should be avoided that no tab
is highlighted on the homepage. This would also mean there's no
need for different pages [1] and [2].

I think that would be good start.
A short release news item for the lates release should always be on the
very top of the page. Beneath we can use the contents of the above wiki.

this is indeed confusing and I don't remember exactly what the reason was
(maybe that project is a subtree).
Maybe it would be the easiest to just keep the project page and do a
redirect
from the homepage to the project page.
I think the text as it stands is fine, whereas I remember that once somebody
contributed a different text, where all the major features (highlights) have
been listed.
