xml upload

Hello,

is it possible to upload a xml file and insert this file in the authoring
document hierarchy so that I can edit it with kupu and publish this one to
the live section?

You could customize the UploadHelper, but this wouldn't be very generic
I think. The pipeline way would be much better ;-)

Is it possible to create a new child document when I upload the xml file. I
imagine it like creating a new document, but with the xml file instead of the
sample file.

this patch doesn't do this. The actual upload is handled within the
flowscript
and then via

org.apache.lenya.cms.authoring.UploadHelper

You would have to send it through a pipeline.

I guess this is possible. Maybe you can ask on the Cocoon mailing list

But another related questions: Can I transform my xml file while uploading?

I have added a patch

http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=28928

It nearly works. Only the correct path needs to be fixed.

But we before we can check it in I think it should also
be connected to the Revision Control component and validation
should be applied and Workflow ;-)

I guess as a quick enhancement it's sufficient, but it would be very cool
if somebody could contribute improvements back to Lenya

Thanks

Well I'd the same problem. Upload a xml file. Finally I solved the
problem in this way.
I create a xslt (lenya compliant) to transform my xml file to xhtml
(lenya compliant).
This transf. , of course , can select the whole xml doc or a seleection.
The xml result of this trans. is placed where su decide (the place in
the menu bar ) as index-<language>.xml
Then you can edit this with Kupu.
I don“t know if it solves your problem. If yes I can give you a sample
that currently works.

I absolutely agree that the current behaviour of the menu in default pub
is useless. I have a patch here. At the mom I'm holding back patches
since the 1.2 Release is hot and I do not want to introduce changes at
the mom. Maybe I can check in things during the sprint when I can talk
about possible patches with the other guys.

1) override the navigation/menu.xsl stylesheet
http://cocoon.apache.org/lenya/docs/components/layout/navigation.html

2) "display: none" in CSS

Submenu on the left side

Posted by Luis Zorita <lz...@pas.uned.es>.
Hello group:
For our lenya site (in construction) it would be very interesting if the
menu bar (on the left side of the page ) shows only the submenu
matching the context . Not the whole menu. For us it's enough with the
tab on the top . Any suggestion?.
Thanks
