website:features section
Hi all,
I've submitted PR#2 to incubator-netbeans-website-cleanup [1] (against
the "asciidoc-features" branch, not against "master").
This PR contains a Maven tool that transforms the "features" section of
the old website into asciidoc format, copying referenced images and
translating image links to relative paths.
The result of this automatic conversion can be visualized in github at
[2]. Note that many bottom tables are weird.
Proposed next steps:
1- Merge PR#2 into the "asciidoc-features" branch.
2- Have Oracle review it for IP clearance & approval.
(I'm not sure about the order of this: whether Oracle wants to review
the PR and then we merge or if we merge and then Oracle reviews it).
3- Perform our own review of content by submitting a PR against
incubator-netbeans-website (missing/updating features, checking links, etc.)
4- Merge the PR so we get them into https://netbeans.apache.org.
I can provide the results of the conversion into a .zip file if this is
easier for Oracle to review and for us to incorporate into 3.
Happy friday,
Antonio

Good idea!

D'oh, I'm not sure how this is supposed to work, either :-)
Maybe we can perform the review elsewhere (even offline?) and then send
a PR against an Apache repo?
Cheers,
Antonio

I would have thought this should happen prior to hitting an Apache
repository, but that's someone else's call!
Best wishes,
Neil
