Location of .subversion

Hi,

as I am forced to use a proxy, I would like to configure my
~/.subversion/servers file, as told in the FAQ. However, although
I have invoked "svn update" or "svn cleanup", I am unable to locate
a .subversion directory on my Windows XP box. Anything I am doing
wrong?

Regards,

Jochen

Yes, good point. Ben, perhaps a note in the book would be appropriate
here? Something on the lines of "type 'notepad
%APPDATA%\Subversion\config' to edit your config file?"

cd %APPDATA%\Subversion should give you the correct path, even for localized
versions of Windows.

It's at "c:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Application
Data\Subversion". Note that Application Data is a hidden folder so a
normal search won't find it and you won't see it unless you turn on the
Explorer option to show hidden folders.

Oy, it's just a patch to a text document. I'm sure we can figure out
what it's about without a log message :-). (Of course a log message
never hurts, I'm just saying we can deal with this patch anyway.)

Here's the patch inline, and a log message:

Jochen,

Thanks for the patch. Could you please provide a log message as per
the directions in HACKING?

Thanks!

Read the beginning of chapter 6 of the book, particularly the
"Configuration Area Layout" section:
