Currently, this scenario will fail with a resolution exception because, during installation of the parent, the child has not yet reached the state where service capabilities have been computed before they are needed.

Note this only applies when the child subsystem is being installed as part of the parent's installation because it was included as content. 

A test, currently disabled, was added for this as part of http://svn.apache.org/viewvc?view=revision&revision=1390187 in ARIES-869.
