[GitHub] [incubator-opendal] chitralverma created a discussion: Comparison with object_store and fsspec

GitHub user chitralverma created a discussion: Comparison with object_store and fsspec

As the title suggests, what are the upsides of OpenDAL in comparison to those of object_store crate and pythons trusty fsspec?

From an implementation design point of view I see a lot of similarities between this and object_store.

Just wanted the communities and contributors perspective on this.

Wow , that was super quick. I missed the comparison doc somehow.

Thanks for the share, let me take this over to the Arrow team for a review 🙂

We already have a comparison between `object_store` and OpenDAL, which may be out-of-date. You can find it here: https://docs.rs/opendal/0.30.2/opendal/docs/comparisons/vs_object_store/index.html.

And we will take a look over `fsspec` after our python binding is ready for production use
