Add me as a committer...
All,
Could someone please add me as a committer to the Jakarta Commons project?
I am a committer on the HiveMind project (userid=jcarman).
Thanks,
James Carman

Ahh, thanks. I vaguelly recall we changed the policy when Jeremias
wanted to join for commons-io, but I was unsure.
My reference to PMC chairs above meant that only PMC chairs would be
able to grant "commons proper" karma.
Thanks

The plan was to automate this as part of the infra-thon this last
weekend, but I'm not sure if it's happened yet.

You're very close. ;-) Any ASF committer can have commit access to the
Sandbox (not just Jakarta committers). Access to Proper does require a
vote, as you say.

In theory I've granted you commit access to the sandbox (in theory
since still somebody with more infrastructure karma then myself needs
to update the SVN configuration).
My understanding of commons is that any Jakarta committer gets access
to the sandbox on request (done) but needs to get voted in to get
access to commons "proper".
I may be wrong, and if I am then I'm sure some of the other PMC chairs
active in Jakarta Commons (at least Henri, Dims and Martin) will
correct me.
