consuming a webservice with axis going through a proxy server

Hello,

I am using axis-beta3 and can successfully consume several internal web 
services, however I now need to consume an external webservice going through 
a proxy server. How can I specify the proxy settings, i.e userid, password, 
etc. so that axis can consume the service?
