Wrapping up my Champion duties and wishing you best of luck!

Hi!

as it stands, Hivemall has been successfully established
in the ASF Incubator and you guys have all the required
infrastructure at your disposal.

At this point, I'd like to make sure that mentors take over
the day-to-day overseeing of the Hivemall podling and I can
wrap up my Chapmpion duties and pass the baton onto
them.

Your most important next step is to import your code base
into the ASF's git repo and start building your first ASF
release.

Before you can do that, however, you have to make sure
to take care of the re-licensing statements from prior
Hivemall contributors. See the Hivemall incubator discussion
thread for details: http://markmail.org/thread/ietrm6j3jps3grml

Make sure to record the steps you took in your first report
to the ASF Incubator.

Thanks,
Roman.

P.S. Since I didn't plan to be a mentor for Hivemall I setup
all the infrastructure in such a way that only your mentors
(and not myself) can help you should you have any problems.
For example, your mentors are moderating your mailing lists,
admining your JIRA, etc.

I can make my initial commit on
https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator-hivemall-site.git

All committers has a privilege to read/write the above repository
after creating ASF account.
So, we don't need an assistance by mentors for it.

I'll create a guideline for committers to make a commit.
Please DO NOT make a commit without reviews.

Confluence/JIRA setup is finished in
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVEMALL-10

I'm admin at JIRA and configured all committer's/mentor's privileges.

I'm still asking Confluece privileges in
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-12754

Thanks,
Makoto

Our PMC mentors,

In the bootstrap of Incubation, we currently need

o Git commit privillege for committers (ssh public key setup)
   https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator-hivemall.git
   https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator-hivemall-site.git

I'm happy if I can setup other committer's ssh public key.

o Admin privilege for JIRA and Confluence (Wiki) => Makoto and Takeshi as admin
(also project admin member should have a control to change JIRA
ticket type and to close issues)
   https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-12608

I'm happy if I can setup other committer's write privileges.

Only our PMC members (ASF members) can do that.

We consider that once we finished setup git/jira/confluence,
we could run the project by ourselves, not imposing burdens to you.

Thanks,
Makoto

Sorry to bother you, but could you setup the ASF jira/git for hivemall?

Also, coud you subscribe dev@hivemall.incubator.apache.org?
If we get stuck in something, we'd like you mentors to ask any helps.

Best,
takeshi

Roman,

Do you think that we should send a report asap
for the Sept report?

I found that monthly report slot of Hivemall is
March, June, September, and December.
http://incubator.apache.org/report-groups.txt

But, I did not get "Reporting reminder emails" because
it is sent at the beginning of the month and Hivemall entered
Incubator on Sept 13.

We are currently working on building project page on
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVEMALL-1

Before moving codebase to ASF repository, we need to fix
1) License header, NOTICE, and LICENSE file
2) Change package from hivemall.xxx. to org.apache.hivemall.xxx
SLA and I-CLA collection will be concurrently done.

We need a commit permission to
https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator-hivemall.git
https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator-hivemall-site.git
I'll ask our mentors to give us the commit permission.

BTW, "Website content and docs link" is wrong in
http://incubator.apache.org/projects/hivemall.html (svn -> git)

Thanks,
Makoto
