I definitely like the idea of showing each user's mouse cursor along with their name. It might be tricky to determine exactly what cursor graphic to show, but perhaps we could just apply the received cursor icon to whichever user moved the mouse most recently? Then again ... without any acknowledgement from the server that the mouse movement has been handled, latency could cause the change in mouse cursor to appear to be due to the movements of a different user...
