Re: [WindowManager?] What happened to "Minimize Window" button?

How about you, are You able to minimize windows with the tab button within
the NetBeans IDE 11.2?

So, I'm finally able to reproduce and control this odd behavior.
In order to get the missing button to appear one have to use NB-Darcula AND
check "Use stretched tabs".

Manipulating those two I'm able to control the visibility of the button,
in NB 11.2, in my old plattform application and in a new maven platform
application created by the new project wizard.
This feels like a bug to me, unless I'm the only one having this. :)
Or, is a feature of NB-Darcula?

Regarding the Branding Window control it only controls the functionality
and shortcut + tab context menu.

Can anyone reproduce this?

Thanks for that reminder Neil regarding the branding.
I noticed that if I use the userdir from the old version with the new, the
new version gets the minimize buttons and that speaks for a configuration
issue.

I have done some rearrangement in the project structure in order to get a
normal application based on the NB WindowSystem and one based on
WorkbenchFX and maybe that caused it to go from working to non-working.

Does the branding and application module needs to be in the same directory?
At this point they aren't...

I'll keep investigating. :)

And just to be clear, my issues is not with the IDE, I just (wrongly) took
the Property windows as an example.

Yes, this has been *an option* for RCP applications since 7.1 to have
the former non-grouped window behaviour, but I don't think there's a
way to switch it off in the IDE.

You can find all the options for an RCP project under Branding / Window System.

Best wishes,

Neil

It's only there for some of the modes, like it should and always was.

But I do have that button in a platform application based on RELEASE111.
It's only there for some of the modes.

Yes, as far as I know this change was introduced in 7.1.

I'm not entirely certain what are you talking about. I only have
'Minimize Window Group'. What is this 'Minimize Window' button I
should be seeing? Even in NetBeans 8.2 I see the same things.

It might be like this in 11.1 too.

Is this something you've noticed in 11.2 only?

I've not noticed what I think you're describing.
