SAX vs IO Exception

Hey y'all!

Why does the DOM parser throw both an IOException and a SAXException? I
thought the whole idea of SAXException was to be a wrapper for other
exceptions so there is a single contact point for errors. Kind of like
RemoteException does in the RMI world.

Any ideas???

Cheers!
