Freezing Tomcat very often

Hi All,

I am facing a big problem. I am very much new to tomcat

my proble is tomcat responds very slow sometimes and i had no other
option than to restart tomcat service.

sever config:
H/W:
HP DL380 xeon dual processor,2GB RAM
S/W:
WIN2K, tomcat 5.0.16 and JSDK 4.1,

which connects to SQL2K server of same H/w config as above

any help highly appreciated
