   I'm probably a bit late to the party, but I just stumbled across OpenTelemetry, OpenTracing and OpenCensus' effort to [merge their projects](https://medium.com/opentracing/merging-opentracing-and-opencensus-f0fe9c7ca6f0) and bundle their powers.
   
   I know Zipkin doesn't have anything to do with both (or not anymore, at least), but seeing as OpenTelemetry's goal is mainly to "reduce the number of instrumentation standards to one", I'm wondering where Zipkin stands in all of this, being, in my opinion, the most widespread of the currently existing projects, having that extensive list of supported languages and frameworks.
