complex objects -> VB using WSTK

Has anyone had any success retrieveing complex objects from a VB client
using the WSTK?

I get a serializer not found. It puts the serializer class in a completely
different package as well as putting an import in the "*impl.wsdl" document
when I want all of it in one.

Is WSDL something that Apache Soap is going to support anytime soon?
