Java support for Axis 2.0.0
Hello,
What is the minimum required Java version for Axis 2.0.0 ?
This documentation says 1.8, is this correct?
Axis2 Installation Guide – Apache Axis2<https://axis.apache.org/axis2/java/core/docs/installationguide.html>

Hey,
I created a PR
(https://github.com/apache/axis-axis2-java-core/pull/1018) that fixes
this in the documentation, however I don't think that this will be
backported automatically to the release documentation for previous
releases, it will be correct in the future though.
Best,
Christian

Hello,
The link I posted previously:

I think it would be good to update also the release notes for Axis2 2.0.0 that minimum version is Java 17 (it was stated previously in release notes when minimum became java 8)
Thank you very much for the quick response.
Regards,
Elisa

Jdk 17 is the officially supported version for axis2 2.0.0.
Jakarta based servers such as Tomcat 11 and Wildfly 32 that were tested with Axis2 2.0.0 require jdk 17 as the minimum requirement.
I didn't see the jdk 1.8 reference in that link, however I will double check that tomorrow.
