It generates a dialogue box saying:

"PMC whimsical not found.  Treat as new?"
    Cancel   OK

Which is another problem: it's not at all clear what "Treat as new?" means.
Does it imply special processing? Or does it just mean "Are you sure the host name is valid?" or some such
