About start
Hi, All,
I got a problem as the following (ERROR: Could not
start service 'HTTPServer').
What should I do now? Thanks a lot.

Yes, it is reasonable, but I stopped any other
applications on my Unix server and only ran
Xindice.
Another surprise thing: when I tried to extract
xml-xindice-1.0.tar.gz to my current directory again,
$ gzcat xml-xindice-1.0.tar.gz | tar xvf -
it always displayed " $ directory checksum errors "
and what can I do?

Yu,
Make sure another service is not running on the port Xindice is using for
the HTTP service (4080 by default).
