Arvind Prabhakar commented on FLUME-1083:
-----------------------------------------

This is because the flume binary distribution copies over the existing bin directory from the project root and this bin directory contains the empty directories for ia64 and amd64.

Flume does not do any native compilation so these directories should be removed.

Thanks!
So I guess I can safely delete/ignore them when deploying Apache Flume (incubating)'s artefacts.

Note that I don't see such directory in github in neither trunk nor 1.1.0 branches.

Arvind Prabhakar commented on FLUME-1083:
-----------------------------------------

Yes - that is correct. Looks like in subversion the empty directories need to be explicitly removed.
