[jira] Created: (MYFACES-2926) Some nodes not removed on ajax request when IE6 is used

Some nodes not removed on ajax request when IE6 is used
-------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: MYFACES-2926
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MYFACES-2926
             Project: MyFaces Core
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: JSR-314
    Affects Versions: 2.0.1
            Reporter: Leonardo Uribe
            Assignee: Leonardo Uribe

We have two bugs:

- node.innerHTML = "" throw an exception on IE8 and compatibility mode is used
- The node is not removed correctly on IE6.

There is a code that catch the exception on _Dom._removeChildNodes() method, but on _Dom. _removeNode we don't have it, and in some cases, it is expected to replace <tr> or <img> or other nodes when an ajax occur. In this case we need to force node removal using removeChild() method to make sure it works well on this case. When nodes like div, this bug is not present.
