Monitor (ApacheMonitor.exe) does not like windows
                    version
           Product: Apache httpd-2.0
           Version: 2.0.54
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: support
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: a-mickel@microsoft.com

While testing Appache HTTP Server on Windows Vista build 5215, our testers
found the following problem:

x86/x64 Apache HTTP Server 2.0.54: Apache Service Monitor (ApacheMonitor.exe)
does not like windows version

REPRO STEPS

1. Install Longhorn build 5215 on x86 machine.
2.	Log-in as local administrator.
3. Install Apache HTTP 2.0.54
4. See for error message.
5. Go to Start>Programs>Apache HTTP Server 2.0.54>Control Apache
Server>Monitor Apache Servers, see for error message.
6. Restart machine, after logging in, see for error message.

Additional Info:
After installation of apache HTTP Server, whenever System (itself) or user
tries to open Apache Monitor, the error message pops saying Operation
completed successfully. This same behavior happens for following three
scenarios-
1. As soon as the installation completes.
2. Whenever user tries to open apache monitor from Start>Programs>Apache HTTP
Server 2.0.54>Control Apache Server>Monitor Apache Servers.
This means that when we try to open Apache monitor it gives this error and we
are unable to open the Apache monitor.
3. When logging on after System-restart.

Results: After installation or when attempting to open apache monitor and
also after restart the same error message pops saying Operation completed
successfully.

Expected Results: We should be able to open the apache monitor successfully in
each case.

ACTION

This is informational only. Please refer to Windows Vista bug 1254088.

TESTERS NOTES

This application is installed with the Apache HTTP server and is used to
monitor the services and stop/start/restart the services. If a WS03SP1
version lie is applied to it the application launches and seems to function.

We generally don't shim server apps.
