Open, resource and monitoring tool

Hi

I am writing an open resource and performance monitoring tool which will
have a metering api and will allow both plugged viewers for representing
data and sensors to easily monitor diverse data sources. Also will
support remote monitorization using JNDI for data sources lookup.

This tool will come with some sensors for Tomcat, and my question is
what would you like to see monitored in it (memory usage, hits, average
duration per operation, pool usage, ... ) and maybe what would be the
best way to achieve that.
