broken record, but it looks like there's some [more|https://github.com/apache/cassandra/pull/2064/files#diff-6f9e66ac70dce5dcf64dd3563010304ddc289760cdcb04bbf039993df1a48436R86] breaking serialisation changes here that maybe don't need to be breaking - or, if they do, should be opted into by the operator to ensure they may downgrade safely.
