Gump on covalent.net

I'm having problems with a bizarre error for Gump running latka's dist on 
gump.covalent.net. From all the API docs I can find the SAXBuilder.build 
method throws JDOM exception, and yet the build is complaining about it 
throwing IOException....What the?
