Adding quick ticket status change feature
Hi..
Ticket #4645 <https://forge-allura.apache.org/p/allura/tickets/4645/> is
having 8 votes. Quick status change of a specific
ticket will be very useful. I have suggested a tool-tip based idea in
comments.
Can you give some feedback? regarding the idea. If it looks good
we can add to Allura.

Hi.. Dave
Yeah agree there is no difficulty to go edit and change the status. But the
quick edit
feature will be a instant shortcut of doing the same. Also when user
activates edit
there might be a small probability to change the markdown by mistake. Also
people
who voted for this ticket may had bit difficulty of feeling with current
way of changing
status.
Agree with your feature adding timing. We will look this when we go more
with our
responsive UI work

Personally I never found that it's very difficult to click "edit" and then make
your changes, but I think your idea of hovering and being able to change a field
directly, plus ajax would be a good improvement. That said though, if we are
going to redesign the frontend view of pages to be responsive (see my recent
other email), it might be best to do more complicated UI/UX changes like this
ticket edit idea after the responsive redesign. Otherwise we might end up
having to redo some work.
