Alpha 9 and Beta 1

So, with the new repository structure in place, I think we are close to
ready to move forward. So, here is my latest hope for a way to move
forward. :-)

Alpha 9: Friday Dec 8
This gives everybody four days to make sure their pet projects are
still working. I realize that this may not be enough time. If it isn't,
then I would suggest either Dec 11, 12, or 13.

Beta 1: Friday Dec 22
This gives us between one and a half and two weeks between the
last alpha and the first beta. I really want to get this beta out in
December, because if we don't, there is no way we will hit a release at
ApacheCon, which is another goal of mine.

Please re-read the last sentance. Releasing at ApacheCon is MY
goal. This is not the group's goal, this is my own personal goal, but I
will continue to strive to make it a reality. :-)

Ryan

Tight to get Windows working (at least on my schedule). If Bill, Allen and I
pull together we should be able to make this happen though.

+1 on trying to release by ApacheCon. The more beta's we get between now and
then the better.

I can do 1.3.15 Monday afternoon (12/11) if that wouldn't be too
late (moving and exposed to company christmas party in the weekend).

There is no way that I can do both a 2.0 and a 1.3.15 release within two
days of each other. I'd go nuts. If somebody else wants to by RM for
1.3.15, then +1 otherwise, let's just wait until Dec 18 for 1.3.15.

Can we push 1.3.15 for two days as well, I'd suggest 12/9, to
release on 12/12? Sorry, we are loosing something in Win9x, and it
looks like either the user runs as a service, or they get 16 bit CGI.

The two don't seem to blend, and I've about had it, hacking this.
Heck, the close button works, and it's aware the system is shutting
down or the user is logging off. That's in fact the only service problem:
it's aware the user is logging off and there is no way to make it think
otherwise with that 16 bit console thunk running.

+1 on all you suggest below. 2.0 April has been a goal of mine since Oct.
