[DISCUSS] New MetaModel logo?
Hi everybody,
Maybe you saw today that ASF has a new logo [1]. It made me think that for
MetaModel we might also consider doing the same - if nothing else because
our current logo features the "old" Aapache feather. But more over it would
be interesting to ask out if anybody has any ideas on what a new logo for
MetaModel could look like. Today we use the globus which is a bit generic.
If anybody has better - or just interesting - ideas then I think it would
be worth discussing?
I think also we could consider at the same time if we want to update other
visuals of the MetaModel "brand" such as colors and fonts used on the
website.

Actually we still don't have a user@ mailing list ... Maybe time to create
one, but that means that for this purpose it's unlikely we'll get any
traction there. Anyways, I think we should go ahead and also use channels
such as twitter etc.

We could try ask from MetaModel community in dev@ and user@ to do
submissions of log proposal.
See if anyone bite. Hopefully there is someone with artistic sense to
propose new logo

Sorry for not paying attention ... Henry, what do you suggest in our case?
I mean, I don't think a lot of graphical people are hanging out on our
mailing list. Are there other lists where this might be relevant to
announce?

As I remember it depends on each project. Some just create JIRA and
announce it in the lists that we are looking new logo and looking forward
for contributions.

Never ask programmers for logo design, you would not like it =P
Kidding aside, I think new logo will also good. Some projects do a contest
to propose the new logo.
We could do similar thing I suppose.
